Description

Have you ever wondered how Lake Tahoe was formed, why there are so many alpine lakes around here, or what all those strange rock formations are? Dave Schnake, a Tahoe Rim Trail Association Board Member and Crew Leader, and trained geologist and geochemist, will give you the low down on Tahoe geology, answer all your questions, and maybe even tell you about those weird rocks. Enjoy a home-packed lunch at a beautiful panorama view of the Lake Tahoe Basin at Picnic Rock while viewing real time examples of exactly what Dave is talking about.
