If you are currently a TRTA Guide or Guide in Training we encourage you to return to this training to further your professional development through our Track 2 program. In recent years, TRTA guiding procedures and techniques have evolved and improved, making this training the perfect opportunity for you to get caught up to speed, learn some new skills and reconnect with the TRTA Guide Team.

For only $20, you will receive high quality instruction on a range of topics relevant to guiding on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Your $20 registration fee can be put towards the purchase of TRTA merchandise for sale at the training.
**If you are a Guide Training Instructor, your registration fee is waived. Please register and click send a check and we’ll take care of the rest.
The overarching goal of the 2-day TRTA Outdoor Leadership and Guide Training is to equip returning, Track 2, and prospective TRTA Guides, Track 1, with the skills and knowledge to promote safe and responsible outdoor recreation on all TRTA Trail Use Programs and to inspire life-long recreational habits. This year, our Track 2 program will focus on training current TRTA Guides in extended learning.
When and Where
- Track 2 Day 1 – Saturday, April 29 (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with dinner & social hour to follow in the TRTA Office)
- Track 2 Day 2 – Sunday, April 30 (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM)
The training will be held at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency building and the TRTA office (same building). Meals are on us! The TRTA will provide lunch on both days and dinner on Saturday night for a fun social hour at the TRTA office.
This training is planned, supported and instructed by TRTA Volunteers and industry professionals from the greater Lake Tahoe region.
