SUMMARY:Nature Photography Snowshoe Trek
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nDescription\nExplore the winterized beauty of Lake Tahoe through your camera lens on this educational snowshoe trek with your tripod. Bring your camera (fancy or not\, smartphones OK!) and join photography buffs\, Sharell Katibah and Lizzie Flower\, to learn how to truly capture the resting evergreen landscape blanketed under the Sierra snow. While traveling to Page Meadows\, your guides will show you the basics of photography so you all can capture that perfect insta-worthy shot or next year’s holiday card cover. \nWhat to Expect\nTRTA outings are group outings\, and we do our best to keep the group together. Trip leaders dedicate a great deal of their time throughout the year sharing their passion for the outdoors. They are well-trained and experienced. Please respect the decisions made on the trail. \nCOVID-19 Policy\nA COVID-19 screening will be conducted at the trailhead. Do not attempt to join if you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms as outlined by the Center for Disease Control within 10 days of the trek: shortness of breath or difficulty breathing\, fever\, chills\, cough\, congestion\, muscle pain\, sore throat\, loss of taste\, or smell. SUMMARY:Wilderness First Aid with NOLS Wilderness Medicine- February
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n$315- TRTA Members\, $350- TRTA Non-Members\n \nCourse Description\nThe Tahoe Rim Trail Association is hosting a two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course taught by NOLS Wilderness Medicine (NOLS WM). This course provides individuals with a foundation in important first aid concepts critical to responding effectively to emergencies in a remote backcountry environment. \nThis fast-paced\, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of trip leaders\, camp staff\, outdoor enthusiasts\, and individuals working in remote locations. It will introduce you to caring for people who become ill or injured far from definitive medical care. Classroom lectures and demonstrations are combined with realistic scenarios where mock patients will challenge you to integrate your learning. At the end of the course\, you’ll have the knowledge\, skills\, and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. \nThis course may also be used to recertify NOLS Wilderness Medicine Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and NOLS Wilderness Medicine WEMT (wilderness portion only) certifications. \nCOVID-19 Vaccine Requirement\nClose physical contact is an inherent part of this course. All students are encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and up-to-date with any boosters they are eligible to receive. Standard PPE will continue to be used in scenarios\, and NOLS will continue to monitor CDC Community Levels each week and implement indoor masking in counties with high levels at the time of this course. \nPlease see the NOLS WM COVID-19 Disclosure for more information.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \n\nCourse Information\n[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner gap=”20″][vc_column_inner el_class=”box” width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1637203024713{margin: 20px !important;padding: 20px !important;background-color: #efefef !important;border: 2px solid #dd9933 !important;}”][vc_btn title=”Course Overview” style=”custom” custom_background=”#0093d6″ custom_text=”#ffffff” size=”lg” align=”center” css_animation=”none” button_block=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fdocument%2Fd%2F10dcdizEAlgI1xdOI6HvMlZUvAF2slZBsub08nHxWmSQ%2Fedit|target:_blank”][vc_column_text] \nCurriculum\, Student Agreement\, Certification\, Scholarships\, etc. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1637097974661{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #efefef !important;}”][vc_btn title=”Waitlist” style=”custom” custom_background=”#0093d6″ custom_text=”#ffffff” size=”lg” align=”center” css_animation=”none” button_block=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tfaforms.com%2F4780847|target:_blank”][vc_column_text] \nThis course has reached capacity.
