Tahoe Rim Trail Crew Leaders:

Each summer Tahoe Rim Trail Crew Leaders schedule and implement a full season of trail building and maintenance projects. Crew Leaders take the lead on these volunteer work projects and facilitate everything from volunteer sign ins and briefings to technical trail building projects. Crew Leaders can take on various levels of responsibility at workdays. New Crew Leaders work as Crew Leader Trainees and work with certified Crew Leaders and small groups of volunteers to ensure quality, sustainable trail is built. Senior Crew Leaders oversee these small groups of volunteers and provide technical expertise on projects. Finally our Project Leaders are crew leaders who are responsible for the overall project. All TRTA Crew Leaders are also invited to join our Trail Operations Committee which provides leadership to the Trail Operations Program at the TRTA and guides which projects are completed, plans trainings, and troubleshoots issues encountered in the field.
