The Tahoe Rim Trail Association has partnered with the Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness to bring you a talk on reducing your risk of injury while enjoying the trails this season.

Join us for an engaging live talk with renowned Performance Coach and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Ryan Carr, EdD, as he shares invaluable insights into reducing the likelihood of injury while exploring the breathtaking trails of Lake Tahoe. 

In this captivating session, Ryan will draw upon his extensive expertise in sports science and outdoor adventure to equip attendees with practical strategies for staying safe and injury-free in the rugged terrain of Tahoe’s wilderness. He’ll cover:

  • The importance of preparation, technique, and mindfulness in mitigating the risk of injury
  • Practical tips for hiking, warmup, and recovery
  • Equipment selection that can significantly enhance trail safety
  • Mental performance techniques to use when you’re going the extra mile
  • Participants will get a tour of Barton’s state-of-the-art fitness center and an overview of the classes and training programs available to the public.
