Barker Pass Workday (trail restoration and sign installation)

 

Join us for a fun day working up on Barker Pass restoring the original alignment of the trail and decommissioning social trails.

Our day will be filled with moving materials to cover up excess trails that detract from the natural beauty of the area as well as restoring natural barriers to keep vehicles off the trail.

One of the seven principles of Leave No Trace ( www.lnt.org) is to plan ahead and prepare, here’s what you’ll need for your day.

  1. Wear long sleeves and long pants
  2. Wear durable boots and bring work gloves and safety glasses (work gloves and glasses will be available to borrow as well)
  3. Bring your best smile and be ready for a fun day!
  1. Be sun smart (hats, sunscreen, etc)
  2. Bring a backpack and 3L of water
  3. Bring a lunch and any snacks you will want for the day
