Heather Lake Tool Pack In

Join the TRTA as we begin our summer work in Desolation Wilderness by packing in tools to Heather Lake!

What to Expect

Participants should expect a long day of hiking at elevation, carrying tools to Heather Lake to establish a new tool cache in Desolation Wilderness for our upcoming summer work. Volunteer should be prepared to carry a minimum of 30 lbs with no more than 45 lbs approximately 10 miles round trip up to 8,000 ft.

Workday

• Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.
• Daypack (or use backpacking pack) with 3-4 L water capacity
• Long sleeve shirt and pants
• Durable, close-toed shoes or boots
• Work gloves and eye protection (optional)
