What to Expect
This 4-day frontcountry trail work event will focus on realigning and improving the trail towards Sand Harbor Overlook (Christopher’s Loop) in the Spooner Backcountry. Participants will be shuttled to Marlette Peak Campground, where they will camp and access the worksite, requiring a one-way 2.5-mile hike. All meals are provided by the TRTA and prepared by a camp cook on-site, with cold refreshments provided by our friends at Deschutes Brewery! Hard hats, eye protection, gloves, and tools will be provided by TRTA. This camp is rated moderate because trail work and camping require using tools, hiking, and getting dirty.
