Member Hike (Carson Pass to Big Meadow)

This is the most demanding member hike available and should not be your first hike above 7,000’ this season! We will meet at the Big Meadow Trailhead at 8 A.M. and then shuttle to Carson Pass. From the Meiss Meadows Trailhead, we will hike north on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) through Meiss Meadows until we reach the PCT/TRT junction.  After a ~500 ft. climb in the first 1.5 miles, the remaining ~6.5 miles of terrain mostly meander downhill, starting at about 8,600 ft. and descending to 7,200 ft. back at the Big Meadow Trailhead. Get ready for some wildflowers over this ~8-mile trek!
