Member Hike (Relay Peak)

Enjoy the Tahoe Rim Trail’s highest point without the uphill climb (but you don’t have to tell your friends that)! We will meet at the Mt. Rose Trailhead at 9 A.M. and shuttle to the top of Relay Ridge via a Forest Service road. From there, we will hike to Mt. Houghton and back, which will be about 2 miles round trip with a little over 300 ft. of climbing toward the summit of Mt. Houghton. This trek begins and ends above 10,000 ft., so be sure that you can hike at high altitude. The sweeping ridgeline views will show you why the TRT is called “a trail like no other”!
