Ophir Creek Trail Work Day

Join the TRTA’s efforts in removing a large rock obstructing the trail, filling the hole, and decommissioning bypass trails near Ophir Creek.

The day will start at 9:00 AM near Ophir Creek and wrap up by 4:00 PM. The TRTA will provide all necessary equipment, including hard hats, tools, eye protection, and gloves.

Expect a 5-mile roundtrip hike with both uphill and downhill sections, uneven terrain, and the possibility of carrying tools or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. Be prepared to get dirty as you contribute to maintaining these beautiful trails.

Age 16+. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What to bring:

• Long-sleeve shirt and pants (required for participation)
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots
• Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain jacket, etc.)
• A daypack (or backpacking pack if preferred)
• 3-4 liters of water
• Lunch and snacks for yourself
