Description
The Sugar Pine Foundation (SPF) and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) are teaming up to collect native conifer seeds while hiking at Van Sickle Bi-State Park. Participants will learn the types of native conifers we encounter and how to tell if the seed is ripe. The seed will be grown into seedlings to reforest the Caldor fire scar.

What to Expect
TRTA outings are group outings, and we do our best to keep the group together. Trip leaders dedicate much of their time throughout the year, sharing their passion for the outdoors. They are well-trained and experienced. Please respect their decisions made on the trail.
COVID-19 Policy
A COVID-19 screening will be conducted at the trailhead. Do not attempt to join if you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms as outlined by the Center for Disease Control within 10 days of the trek: shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough, congestion, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of taste, or smell.
