This workday will focus on trail drainage work and reshaping of the trail tread to improve water flow. This work is necessary to improve watershed health, trail sustainability, and user experience.
When: 9:00am-4:00pm
Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous
Expect up to a 6-mile roundtrip hike with both uphill and downhill sections, uneven terrain, and the possibility of carrying tools or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. Be prepared to get dirty as you contribute to maintaining these beautiful trails. No experience necessary!
You bring:
- Long-sleeve shirt and pants (required)
- Sturdy, close-toed shoes (required)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Sun protection
- Backpack
- 1-2 liters/30-40 oz of water
- Lunch and snacks for yourself
- Optional: Gloves and eye protection
