Join us for a 3-week adventure in the Trail Stewards Program, designed for high school-aged students from diverse cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds who are excited to learn new skills, and make a difference. This program combines education, exploration, and recreation in a supportive environment perfect for folks who think they might enjoy working or recreating outdoors.
Throughout the program, participants will:
- Earn a Trail Stewards 120-hour Certification
- Gain Wilderness First Aid Certification
- Receive Leave No Trace Certification
- Learn hands-on skills in trail building and maintenance
- Explore exciting outdoor-related career fields
Beyond certifications and skills, participants will get to spend time discovering the world-class recreation system in their own backyard and forming lasting friendships all with the support of staff and volunteers focused on each participants well-being.
Youth from diverse cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to join, regardless of previous experience in the outdoors.
