Fly through a winter wonderland on skis at a snowy excursion hosted by TINS and the TRTA. Spend the morning on cross-country skis gliding through forests around Spooner Lake on Tahoe's East Shore. We will take breaks periodically to learn about forest ecology while talking about the plants and animals that make up Tahoe's wintery ecosystem.

The birth of the smart phone and personal global positioning systems (GPS) have not outdated the centuries old skill of navigation by map and compass.
