Join us for a Sweetheart Snowshoe Trek and enjoy some provided snacks and treats at a scenic overlook. This short and scenic snowshoe hike will take you to Castle Rock out of the Kingsbury North Trailhead. Don't forget your camera! There will be plenty of great photo opportunities to capture Lake Tahoe's west and south shores.
This course will teach you one of the most basic and essential outdoor skills- navigation without relying on a battery in the winter. The birth of the smart phone and personal global positioning systems (GPS) have not outdated the centuries old skill of navigation by map and compass. The earth's magnetic field will never run out of battery.
