All hikes are guided by well-trained TRTA Volunteer Guides and offer a variety of end goals from learning a new wildflower to hiking the entire Tahoe Rim Trail in a summer. Let’s take a hike! Please note, that the TRTA does not offer guided horseback rides.

Hike a segment of the TRT a week. We will hike all segments throughout the summer, so this is a great way to hike all 165 miles.
Don’t have time to hike all of the TRT? That doesn’t mean you can’t hike some of the TRT. Spend 5 days and 4 nights with us and backpack a quarter of the trail.

This trek will be a leisurely snowshoe from the Echo Lake Sno-Park to Lower Echo Lake. Along the way, our experts and friends at the Sugar Pine Foundation will reveal the mysterious world of trees. No snowshoes? No problem! Just let us know, and we'll bring a pair for you.
This classroom and overnight field introductory snow camping course is designed for backcountry enthusiasts who want to step up their game by learning to camp and recreate all year long. Join us this winter to explore and practice the essential skills and techniques to help you stay warm and comfortable while enjoying the freedom, quiet, and crispness that only snow camping can afford.
Lake Tahoe is one of the purest freshwater lakes in the world! Its unique system for staying so clear brings people from near and far to gaze at its beauty. This walk will teach you about Lake Tahoe's natural history and how it remains so blue. We will also touch on the curious cultural history from the turn of the last century. Click for more info!
