Following an epic winter, one for the record books, its hard to imagine actually getting out on the trail in early June. Normally the TRTA hosts a work day inside the basin for National Trails Day but this year we have decided to take a different approach and have two great ways to get outdoors with us!
Trail Workday
Join us out on the trail! We will be partnering with the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association and the Biggest Little Trails Stewardship on a workday project near Galena Creek. Visit our trail workday calendar for more information.
Trail Kick-Off Celebration
Join us at Spooner Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park for an all day celebration of everything trails. Registration for the Trail Kick-Off Celebration will be live May 1st. This year the event will go from 10:00am to 2:00pm and will feature trail construction demonstrations, skill building workshops, educational talks, and industry vendors. It also serves as the kick-off of the 5th Annual Tahoe Rim Trail Challenge a now FREE program that supplies hikers, bikers, and equestrians all the tools they need to hit six different trail routes annually.
