At Echo Summit, where the Tahoe Rim Trail and Pacific Crest Trail are coaligned, parking has been a challenge as the large parking lot used in the winter as Echo Summit Adventure Mountain was closed. A few parking spaces were available in front of the gate but the TRT/PCT trailhead and over 100 parking spots were unavailable for trail users throughout the summer. The TRTA and PCTA worked with the USFS and concessionaire to have summer parking access at this lot.
