This project allows a smaller human impact on the Watson Lake area. A popular spot for through-hikers and campers, this campground sees a lot of use. To lessen our impacts on the beautiful ecosystem, the TRTA has coordinated a concrete bathroom to be installed. This provides ease of access to campers, along with water quality optimization.
After installation with multiple cranes and heavy machinery, a separate workday was facilitated to create a gravel area that would better minimize erosion. Several volunteers came out to support the TRTA, and the Watson Lake bathroom is now functional and operational.
