In the summer of 2025, TRTA staff and volunteers joined the Humbolt-Toiyabe National Forest in removing and replacing 600 feet of decaying boardwalk through Tahoe Meadows along Ophir Creek. With over 1,700 volunteer hours, 65,000 lbs of boardwalk were removed and replaced. That’s 32.5 tons moved with volunteer power! The remaining 370 feet of boardwalk in that section is planned to be replaced in summer 2026.
