Last updated: May 12, 2026
By providing your mobile phone number to Tahoe Rim Trail Association (“TRTA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to receive SMS text messages from our staff under the terms below.
Program Description
TRTA staff use SMS to communicate one-to-one with trail users, volunteers, donors, members, and community members. Messages may include responses to general inquiries, trail condition updates, volunteer coordination, event information, membership questions, and donation acknowledgments. This program is conversational and is not used for marketing or automated bulk messaging.
How You Opt In
You consent to receive SMS messages from TRTA when you provide your mobile number to a staff member, by phone, in person, or through any TRTA contact form, donation page, volunteer signup, or membership form, and indicate that text contact is acceptable.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on the nature of your interaction with our staff. Most contacts result in only a small number of messages.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your wireless carrier and your mobile plan. Please contact your carrier for details about your messaging plan.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will not receive further texts from that number.
How to Get Help
For assistance, reply HELP to any message, email info@tahoerimtrail.org, or call +1 775 298 4485.
Carriers
Supported carriers include all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our SMS Privacy Statement to understand how we collect, use, and protect information related to text messaging.
Changes to These Terms
TRTA may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of our SMS communications after changes are posted indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
