Are you trying to get in shape for trail season? This talk is for you! The Tahoe Rim Trail Association has partnered with the Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness to bring you a talk on trail-specific performance training and conditioning.
At this Trail Talk, Barton Performance Supervisor, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Mental Performance Coach, Ryan Carr, EdD, will give a full rundown on how to prepare for your trail season! He’ll cover:
- Proper body mechanics for hiking and backpacking
- exercises to do at the gym or at home
- tips for injury prevention
- mental performance techniques to use when you’re going the extra mile
Participants will get a tour of Barton’s state-of-the-art fitness center and an overview of the classes and training programs available to the public.
