Ophir Creek Trail Work Day

Join the TRTA’s efforts in removing a large rock obstructing the trail, filling the hole, and decommissioning bypass trails.

When: 9:00am-4:00pm

Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous

Expect up to a 6-mile roundtrip hike with both uphill and downhill sections, uneven terrain, and the possibility of carrying tools or supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. Be prepared to get dirty as you contribute to maintaining these beautiful trails. No experience necessary!

You bring:

• Long-sleeve shirt and pants (required)
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes (required)
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Sun protection
• Backpack
• 1-2 liters/30-40 oz of water
• Lunch and snacks for yourself
• Optional: Gloves and eye protection

We bring:

• Instruction, leadership, and enthusiasm!
• Tools
• Gloves, hard hats, and eye protection
