Join the Tahoe Rim Trail Association at Marlette Peak Campground for a backcountry stewardship camp. After working hard together to improve the Tahoe Rim Trail, we will enjoy camp food and relaxation with our fellow trail stewards at a beautiful high alpine camp.

Camp Information
Project:
This stewardship camp will focus putting in several quality drainages on about 200 yards of trail, building 2-4 stone steps and about 100 feet of new trail, decommissioning about 100 feet of trail and cutting and grubbing as much low shrubs intruding on the trail as we have time for.
Difficulty:
The trail work site is approximately a half mile and 250 feet of ascent from the Marlette Peak Campground (elevation: 8,228 ft). We will work with hand tools (mcleods, shovels, loppers), do rock work with rock bars and rock nets, and move brush and other natural material.
You Bring:
- Long-sleeved shirt and pants (required for participation)
- Sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots (required for participation)
- Eye protection/sunglasses
- Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, etc.)
- Daypack
- 2 liters/70 ounces of water
- Snacks
- Work gloves (we have some if you don’t!)
- All overnight gear and supplies: tent, bedding, mess kit, etc

- Leadership, instruction, and enthusiasm!
- Tools
- Gloves, hard hats, and eye protection
What to Bring
Camping:

- Water bottles with 3-4L capacity
- Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
