Ways to Give: Support the Tahoe Rim Trail in the Way That Works for You

 

As part of our More Than A Trail year-end campaign, we’re inviting our community to support the Tahoe Rim Trail Association in the way that’s most meaningful, and most practical, for you.

Every gift helps us work toward our $200,000 year-end goal, and if we reach it by December 31, our Board of Directors will contribute an additional $20,000 to support our programs in 2026.

Below are several ways you can make your year-end gift.

Give Online

  • The simplest way to give is directly through our website. One-time and recurring gifts can be made securely online.
  • Donate Online

Stock or Securities

  • Donating appreciated stock can be a tax-efficient way to give. You may be able to avoid capital gains taxes while supporting the Tahoe Rim Trail.
  • If you’re interested in making a stock gift, please contact us at info@tahoerimtrail.org so we can assist with next steps.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

  • You can recommend a grant to the Tahoe Rim Trail Association from your donor-advised fund. This is a popular option for donors who have already set aside charitable funds.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

  • If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly from your IRA. QCDs can count toward your required minimum distribution and may reduce taxable income.

Corporate Matching Gifts

  • Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your donation. Check with your employer to see if your gift is eligible.

Check or Other Arrangements

  • Some donors prefer to give by check or through other planned or legacy giving options. We’re happy to work with you to find the best way to support the trail.
