Trail Work Information
Project:
This section of the Tahoe Rim Trail sees heavy use, resulting in eroded trail. During this workday, we’ll work to improve the trail surface, enhance drainage, and create a more sustainable route for hikers.
Difficulty:
This workday will include hiking approximately 6 miles and 2,000 feet of elevation gain. Work includes using hand tools and moving brush and other natural materials.
You Bring:
- Long-sleeved shirt and pants (required for participation)
- Sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots (required for participation)
- Eye protection/sunglasses
- Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, etc.)
- Daypack
- 3-4 liters/100+ ounces of water
- Lunch and snacks
- Work gloves (we have some if you don’t!)
We Supply:
- Leadership, instruction, and enthusiasm!
- Tools
- Gloves, hard hats, and eye protection
